Admission Requirements

Several times each year, explorers test their skills and knowledge in state and national competitions with other explorer posts. In addition to training and competitions, explorers obtain volunteer hours at various community and charity events.

  • Youth ages 14-20
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Be of good moral character and discipline
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • Pay $50.00 application fee
**Eligibility for application is limited to individuals under 18 years of age. Individuals who are 18 years or older at the time of application are ineligible. Current members who turn 18 after acceptance may continue participation in the post.

**Deadline for Explorer Post Fall 2025 membership will close June 30, 2025. Any Explorer Post application submitted after that date will be considered for our Spring 2026 semester (beginning January 2026). The Explorer Post application deadline for Spring 2026 semester is November 10, 2025. Explorer Club membership is open-enrollment.**
