Admission Requirements

Several times each year, explorers test their skills and knowledge in state and national competitions with other explorer posts. In addition to training and competitions, explorers obtain volunteer hours at various community and charity events.

  • Youth ages 14-20
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Be of good moral character and discipline
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • Pay weekly membership dues of $2.00 (covers uniforms and competitions)
  • Pay $30.00 application fee

How to Apply

To apply for the program membership you must download the Explorer Application Packet (some of them must be notarized). Please scan and email documents to explorerpost238@teamhcso.com.  Please retain any forms that are notarized and or signed to present them in person if the application is scanned and emailed. You can also return the enrollment forms by mail to the address listed below.
