As a continual commitment to the community we serve, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has received two accreditations through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). These two accreditations are, Advanced Law Enforcement Accreditation, and Public Safety Training Academy Accreditation for the Sheriff’s Training Academy. Furthermore, the agency is currently contracted with CALEA for its third accreditation for Public Safety Communications Accreditation, which is projected to be completed in 2027. As part of the ongoing accreditation process, we invite you to post comments and commendations regarding our agency through the CALEA Accreditation Public Comment Portal. The link will be available on our website from January 15, 2026- March 16, 2026.
