Craig Roberts, Major
Major Craig Roberts currently serves as the Commander for District I.
He is a Tampa native and earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida. In 2011, Major Roberts began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and was assigned to District I. During his tenure in District I, he held positions as a Deputy in Patrol and Street Crimes. He was promoted to the rank of Detective in 2016, and subsequently held positions in the District I Intelligence Unit and Special Investigations Division.
In 2019, Major Roberts was promoted to a leadership role. He has been assigned supervisory roles in Patrol Districts I, II, III, V, and the Special Investigations Division. These supervisory roles include the Field Training Deputy (FTD) squad, Street Crimes, General Offense Section & Intelligence Unit.
