Chief Deputy St. John began his career in law enforcement in 1993, serving as a deputy with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in 1994.

Chief Deputy St. John has held numerous positions throughout his career, most of which were in covert and latent investigative capacities. He has been assigned to positions with street crimes, economic crimes, and special investigations.

Chief Deputy St. John has been a Field Training supervisor, Intelligence Unit detective/supervisor, Narcotics Section detective/supervisor, Community Outreach Division supervisor, and Professional Standards Section supervisor.

He is also a graduate of the 10th Executive Leadership Course with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute.

Chief Deputy St. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Leo University. He also serves on the executive board for HCSO Charities Inc. and is a board member for More Health Inc. A Massachusetts native and resident of Hillsborough County since 1981, he is married with four children.
