The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the death of an inmate.
On August 24, 2026, Ryan Zavalick, 35, an inmate at the Falkenburg Road Jail, was taken to Tampa General Hospital for health-related concerns.
Zavalick remained in the hospital for medical care and was pronounced deceased on August 30, 2026, at 11:13 p.m.
Zavalick's next of kin was notified of his death. The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the official cause of death.
The Public Affairs Office will release any further updates.
