The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation in Tampa.
On Monday, July 8, 2024, at 5:43 p.m., HCSO received a 911 call that an individual had been shot near the 5800 block of North Cameron Ave in Tampa.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they located a man with an upper-body gunshot wound. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"After this tragic loss of life, our detectives are relentlessly working to uncover the events that led to this fatal shooting," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We urge anyone with information about the circumstances leading to this individual's death to contact our detectives immediately."
