The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect responsible for a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning in Tampa.

On May 16, 2026, at approximately 4:30 a.m., #teamHCSO deputies responded to an apartment complex located on the 7700 block of Rivergate Drive following a report of a stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they found an adult woman suffering from at least one stab wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The investigation revealed during an altercation between the two groups, Anijah Green, 24, stabbed the 21-year-old victim. On May 18, 2026, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and Green was taken into custody on May 19, 2026.

Green has been charged with:

Violence like this has no place in our community, and we will continue working to hold those responsible fully accountable.”
