Update: Double Homicide Investigation Underway in Wimauma

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a double homicide in Wimauma on September 16, 2025. 
 
Detectives have identified the two deceased men as Rigoberto Vences, 28, and Osvaldo Rodriguez, 27.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide after two people were shot and killed in Wimauma. 

 

On September 16, 2025, at 6:16 p.m., HCSO received a 911 call about a shooting on the 3300 block of Willow Road. 

 

Detectives believe that two adult males got into an argument and exchanged gunfire. Both sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital, where they later died.

 

"This tragic event reminds us that disputes can escalate quickly with deadly consequences," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "This type of violence on our streets puts innocent lives at risk and will not be tolerated."
