Major Mark Blair is a Tampa native and began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in September 2010. He has held positions as a Patrol Deputy, Field Training Deputy, and General Offense Detective. In 2018, he began his supervisory career, serving in District III patrol, the District II traffic section, the Department of Patrol Services, the Training Division, and the Homeland Security Division. Major Blair is currently assigned to the Forensic and Support Services Division.
During his career, he has served on the Sheriff's Training Academy approval project, the Firearms committee, and the Sheriff's Leadership Academy committee. He has received multiple commendations in recognition of his efforts with the Sheriff's Office. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the International Homicide Investigators Association as the Treasurer.
Major Blair holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and a minor in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa. He is an active member of his church and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children.
