Chad Cave, Captain

Captain Chad Cave joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in 2006, serving in Patrol, Field Training, Street Crimes, and later as a Detective in the Special Investigations Division. He has since held supervisory roles across Patrol Districts I and III, the Department of Patrol Services, the Criminal Investigations Division, and the Special Investigations Division.

Promoted to Captain in 2023, he now serves as the Deputy Division Commander for the Special Investigations Division.

Captain Cave holds an MBA from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor’s in Criminology from the University of South Florida. He is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course, the FDLE Senior Leadership Program, and the FDLE Florida Leadership Academy.
