The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 14-year-old student for bringing a knife to Morgan High School.
On October 5, 2026, at 7:57 a.m., several students were involved in a fight. Edrik Allen, 14, hit another student during the altercation. Allen then took a knife out of his pocket and started following one of the students involved. HCSO's school resource deputy stopped, arrested Allen and confiscated the knife.
Allen has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon on School Property
- Battery
"This could have ended in serious injury, or worse, if not for our school resource deputy's quick action," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Weapons have no place on school campuses. Anyone who brings one onto a campus or threatens another student with one will be arrested."
This is an ongoing investigation, and any updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.'
