The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation surrounding the death of an inmate.
Alexis Brown, 34, an inmate at the Falkenburg Road Jail, was discovered unresponsive by deputies on September 29, 2025. Deputies began lifesaving measures, and Brown was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. No signs of trauma were observe
The Medical Examiner’s Office will complete an autopsy to determine a cause of death. Next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing. The Public Affairs Office will release any further updates.
