Accessibility
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is committed to making our website content, resources and communications accessible to all users including persons who may have one or more disabilities.

Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of this website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of possible limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
- Documents: We make efforts to ensure documents on this website are accessible. We are working on our processes to ensure all PDFs are accessible to meet the "Safe-Harbor" clause (E202.2) for legacy information and communication technology and updated Section 508 standards. However, some documents might not work with current assistive technologies if they used outdated technologies that do not support accessibility.
- We can convert documents to new formats upon request. Please contact us if you encounter an issue or require assistance.
- Images: Images within our web pages include alt tags as specified by W3C. We do our best to make sure images have appropriate alt tag descriptions. Please contact us if you find an image that has incorrect or inadequate descriptive text. We will take corrective action promptly.
- Audio / Video: For all users who as a result of a disability need a reasonable accommodation to be able to access the audio or video recording on this site, videos and audio files can be captioned or transcribed upon request.
- HTML: This website's HTML has been tested using compliance validation tools. Since our website's content is updated daily, there is a possibility that new issues could arise. If there is an issue with the HTML within this site and you believe it prevents you from adequately being able to access the website content, please contact us.
Formal Complaints
While we strive to meet the highest levels of accepted guidelines and accessibility standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website, particularly content that is served from third parties.
