The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating and looking for additional victims of a man charged with sexual battery.
On June 18, 2022, at approximately 12:40 a.m., a female victim was approached and sexually assaulted by a man as she was walking near the intersection of Cedar Creek Boulevard and Lemon Tree Court in the Citrus Park area. A few days later, on June 22, 2022, due to the investigative efforts of HCSO detectives, deputies served an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Michael Farina.
Farina has a history of violence towards women. In 2018, he was arrested for the robbery of a juvenile victim after he was reported to have assaulted her in a parking lot.
"There is no place for dangerous individuals who prey and sexually attack others in our community," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We will continue to seek justice while reaching out to help the victims of Michael Farina."
Michael Farina is currently at Orient Road Jail with No Bond. HCSO detectives are asking if there are any other potential victims of Farina to please reach out to them by calling 813-247-8200.
