Two Felons Charged in Shooting Investigation

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested two felons after a shooting that injured a teenager.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 12:39 p.m., deputies responded to the area of South 81st Street and Fir Drive after receiving multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located a juvenile victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives identified the shooter's vehicle and located it in Riverview. A traffic stop was conducted on the 10200 block of Newel Valley Loop, where the driver, Antonio House, 38, was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license.

A search warrant was performed at a residence where House was staying, where detectives recovered multiple firearms.

A Glock .40 caliber handgun recovered from inside the residence was ballistically matched to the casings recovered at the scene of the shooting. The HCSO Firearms Laboratory conducted the analysis, confirming the connection between the firearm and the crime scene.

Inside the shared bedroom of Zoe’yae Jackson, 17, and Jaheim House, 18, detectives recovered evidence connected to the shooting.

Based on the evidence and surveillance footage collected during the investigation, Jackson and House were taken into custody and are now facing the following charges:

House:

  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm (Juvenile Conviction) x6
  • Felon in Possession of Ammunition (Juvenile Conviction) x2
  • Resisting Officer Without Violence x2

Jackson:

  • Attempted Murder in the Second Degree Firearm x2
  • Aggravated Battery Great Bodily Harm or Deadly Weapon Firearm
  • Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm x6
  • Felon in Possession of Ammunition x2
  • Resisting Officer Without Violence x2

“We will not allow our neighborhoods to become places of violence,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This kind of behavior has no place in our community. We remain committed to protecting our residents and ensuring that violent offenders are held fully accountable.”

This is an active investigation. Any updates will come from the Public Affairs Office.
