Detectives are in the process of interviewing possible witnesses related to a shooting that occurred late Friday night at a park in Plant City. Shortly before 10 p.m. on January 25, deputies were called to Springhead Park, 3410 Nesmith Road in Plant City, in response to a 911 call reporting the sound of gunfire. One male adult victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Health where he was later pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made as of yet. Detectives do not believe the shooting was random.Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
