On June 14, Jennifer Threats-Diaz, 36, was riding in a car with her victim when she stole the victim's Bank of America Visa credit card from the cup holder. The same day around 3:30 p.m., Threats-Diaz went to the Publix located at 11460 U.S. Highway 301 South in Riverview and purchased a gift card and a beverage totaling more than $200 using the stolen credit card. On July 24, detectives located Threats-Diaz and arrested her for Fraudulent Use of Personal Information, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card Over $100 and Petit Theft. At the time of the incident, Threats-Diaz was already on felony probation for Grand Theft.
